About Us
We launched the Middles and Mentors in the summer of 2024 with a passion to help our fellow incoming students make the most of their experience at the school we love.
This idea originated as a Girl Scout Gold Award Project. Rayna was inspired to help students close the learning gap that began when COVID-19 disrupted schools and instruction activities.
We are a group of friends involved in a lot of activities including sports, music, and competitive academic clubs. We wanted to share with our middle school classmates how much the school has to offer.
Rayna began her Girl Scout journey in kindergarten and developed a love for projects involving education and helping others succeed. She learned from other girls that shared about their advocacy projects at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, NY as part of the International Day of the Girl activities.
She presented her project and ideas for member nations to support free tutoring and peer mentoring programs to help girls around the world make up for what they missed during COVID.
Prior to this project Rayna earned her Bronze Award and Silver Award on projects related to educating children under age 12 on animals and the environment.
